Sorry guys, but I am looking at a broader picture. Both are someones daughters, or someones mother, close your eyes and picture your sister, daughter or mother in that display of lust and filth. Some teeage young woman or pre-teen for that matter who had been star struck by Brittney now sees that and questions her own sexuality, or harbors questrions of sex in her mind through the first years of her marriage that causes her to loose her marriage. We are raising a generation of moral-less lusters. Don't get me wrong, I am a redblooded American male and my wife and I love our relationship, but we do not want this public display on our tv screen for our grandson to see. Life is tough enough for young people, why do these millionaire stars set such poor examples?

Big Daddy,
You make very good points, if that was my sister or mother, I wouldn't want to see that either, however, if all it takes is watching 2 people kiss on tv for someone to question their own sexuality, one would have to think that it is pretty inevitable that something would trigger that reaction somewhere down the line. If someone is married, I would hope they are sure about their sexuality and that is the person they want to spend the rest of their life with. It's not up to celebrities to be role models, that should be done at home, starting with the parents. If a good example is set at home then you just have to hope that kids will be smart enough to make the right decision.

i admit. it was hot. i cant say that i didnt watch it over and over and over... the only thing i was thinking.. its not like if britney were my daughter i would shun her for it. dont just think of your daughter doing it.. think of your 8 year old daughter who wont ever stop singing "Oops I did it again" watching her idol make out with another woman. think of the questions! .. but it was hot..

Big daddy:

Don't you think your perspectives are too conservative? [V]
It's only a kiss. No more, no less...

What if you see Gay or Lesbian people kissing
in front of you, are you going to yell at 'em?

There are a number of people who had to be gays or lesbians not by
their own will but by their genetic problems. In these cases,
are you going to angry at 'em?

I am definitely a straight person and I love my female
wife and my child. However, as Howard Dean said,
we need to approach this problem in terms of human rights.

Are you angry at M and BS because they are kissing to
each other? or because they are lesbians? or because
it's on TV?

I know it is very controversial, but we need to remind that
they are also human beings like us.

It was a publicity stunt. They wanted to show everyone else up, and they did. Mission accomplished.

It's already obvious that our society is about as low as it's going to get. There's no more love in the world....just lust. How else could you explain so much divorce. After the sex isn't steamy anymore, people go their separate ways. [:(]

I'm with BigDaddy all the way. It was hot, but totally uncalled for. The least they could do is make a video like Pamela and Tommy. They just threw that out there LIVE because they had the camera and censors where they wanted them. Publicity.

Think about how often a kid sees a two people kiss on the streets. Do you get all mad at those people for showing the kids 'lust'? I understand your concern that Britney Spears and Madonna are role models, but what they did was something kids see a lot.

Why do you think I'm mad? I disapprove of what happened, but that doesn't make me upset.

I think kids need to see their parents kissing moreso than anyone else. Most kids think it's gross to see their parents kiss. How pathetic. I think kids watching two grown women kissing on national television (you can see tongue, mind you) is not quite what you want. Why don't they just grope each others boobies too? How far would it have to go before all of you would say it was too much?
Everyone is so concerned about gettin' to see lesbian action, they don't care about the adverse affects it might have on their kids.
You want to see porn? Go rent some at the store. There's a time and place for everything.

How often had you seen lesbian kissing on television while you were growing up?

Sorry if you guys think I'm a stiff or something....that's just how I feel.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said mad. My guess is that if I had kids I would feel the same way you do.
Probably.

Either way, I'm still going to voice my opinion on this last thought.
I might not agree with the time or place, but it's still pretty frickin' hot!!!!! [:0]

my 0.02 $

watching only the picture could seem to be lust and sex...look at the video and see how fast and really unspectacular this lil kiss was. what this is all about is the people´s fanatsie and what the media makes of it to feed those minds. if that little kiss is already enough to be a sin, then hell i betrayed my girl when she was present. i kiss other girls, and they kiss me, when we meet. btw, she does with them too....i think it is way too exaggerated to implement so much meaning into that small and tiny incident.

I was wondering where the king of debate was hiding. [hihi]

I didn't get to see the video because I'm at work. Stinkin' internet police always have everything all blocked up.
Anyways, in other cultures (not American), it is more common for people to be a little friendlier (i.e. kissing) when they meet. In the United States, that's a little less common. People like their personal space. I kiss my friends that are girls when I see them, but I don't kiss them on the lips, nor do I put my tongue in their mouths.

I am with Big Daddy on this one. I do not consider myself as a conservative, but how much worse can it get? What kind of ideas are we forming in kids minds? Are we going in the right direction? Are we better people today than 20 years ago? Who is going to pay for it all $$$$$ (now 550,000 (and increasing) kids in state custody=big tax bill)?

1. Adultery (50-60% of married couples admit to adultery. In California alone, 500,00 couples "live together"
2. Fornication (every day 33,000 teens get some sort of sexually transmitted disease. Each year over 800,000 babies are born to unwed teenagers. A 1990 survey found that 40% of school children had had at least 3 sexual partners).
3. Rape (each year over 120,000 women report being raped, 5,000 are killed by domestic violence).
4. Pornography (a $32,000,000,000 industry)
5. Abortion (1,500,000 annually, 146,000 done in the 7-9 month period).
6. Theft (3,000,000 burglaries annually. One Chicago department store reported $22, 000,000 in shoplifting in one year. Crime costs $500,000,000,000 each year).
7. Greed (over $240,000,000,000 was spent on gambling in one year).
8. Murder (over 24,000 people are murdered annually; 40,000,000 are the victims of violent crime. The number one killer of children is parents).
9. Drunkenness (90,000,000 cans of beer are sold each day, and our roads have become slaughterhouses for drunk drivers, who are killing over 25,000 yearly).
10. Hypocrisy (62% profess to be Christians; 91% lie regularly).

550,000 kids live in foster homes and are in legal custody of a goverment agancy.

I am sure it had something to do with publicity and the caliber of their target market.

Thanks Bryan330i, you make very valid points.

As for BMWlover, no I do not think I am being a little too conservative, I too have my rights and beliefs. As far as your gay question, I do not approve of public displays of affection from either gays or hetrosezuals in public. That too should be something between two people in the privacey of their own home. And by the way there is not one stydy that confirms homosexaulty is genetic. It is not normal for sex to occur between two persons of the same sex, even animals know that!

And Tripulldee, I agree it is not up to them to be role models, but how many Brittney Spears dolls were sold to little girls believeing in the wholesome image Brittney use to portray? Are you tellling me that stars, sports, film, etc. are not seen by kids and impressonable persons as role models? I agree it should come from home, but when I pay for TV service in my home and this type of filth is flashed across my big screen with my 3 year old grandson watching with no warning what are my options?

When we continue to lower our standards and dumb down our children we are a nation in trouble. Look closely at history. Anyway, I am a grandfather and want to leave something of value to my grandson, the rest of you youngins can live in filth if you so desire, someday though you will have kids and think, Hmmm!
