p.s. in case you are running xp, you don't even need an ftp. just go to the internet settings of your browser, advanced and enable browser view for ftp. than when you logged in on his server you could just drag and drop the file on his server.

hah. this is funny. i just played my prodigy cd the other day to test out what the stock speakers could do. also, i bought "the dirtchamber sessions" by prodigy the same day.
'Fat of the land' has always been one of my favorites, but the newest one (dirtchamber..) isnt really an album, its more of a mix cd where a bunch of old beats and songs are meshed together. it was okay. but doesnt replace the previous.

now, if your looking for some music that will test out your system and not sound like $hit, Prodigy is good. i reccomend also:

KMFDM (the symbols album)
Meat Beat Manifesto
Aphex Twin
The Chemical Brothers

Which Aphex Twin album is the best? What kind of music? I heard a double disc of theirs once, but was told all of their music is different. The CD I heard made me think of dance/moby kind of music....but a little more trippy. What say you?

They're not so bad. What about Die Toten Hosen, Wizo, or Die Arzte? I have some friends who live in Germany. They got me into German metal/punk. I love it!

...so you're from Dusselldorf?

Wizo is a German punk band I actually found from my American friend. They're....interesting.

Rodelheim Projekt. I have one of their CD's. I haven't listened to it in a while, though.

German music is great when driving a German car. ...I also work for a German company. [hihi]

Nosir. I'm not that familiar. I know very little bit about the bands. I know the music, though, and I like it.
Got any advice on good German music?

xavier naidoo is not too bad. though he is very depending on his lyrics, german of course, his tracks might please you. it´s kind of ...well whgat is it. calm...more calm...malodic...try it.

if you got kazaa, try entering xavier naidoo for search and "inform" yourself about the tracks he has

aphex twin is mostly instrumental, and can be seen as techno-like. but Richard D. James creates music from techno to an industrial feel, all the way to an ambient piano meledy. which is why i like his music so much.. most of it is wierd in a way and you either love it or you hate it.. as for suggestions, im guessing you'd like the more industrial stuff which would be:

come to daddy single
selected ambient works (double cd)

the more diverse albums are:
i care because you do
windowlicker

and my favorite because its a mixture of everything is a double cd called 'Drukqs'

I'll have to look into him.
You know the new version of Kazaa blocks your IP address (or so I've heard) so you can't be tracked down as a pirate. God bless Kazaa! [pray]

Thanks for the help, Heresy. My friend listens to Aphex Twin, but he could describe their style to me. He just told me to save my money. That doesn't mean he doesn't like them, though. He watches out for my best interest. Maybe I'll take Wadula's suggestion and check it out online before I buy.
Thanks again!! [thumb]
