Need feedback on pc choice...¿

This is the Gigabyte board I bought. 400MHz front side bus for when the AMD 3200+ drops in price. The only gripe that I've got is that there's two caps, (or resistors or something like that), that are damned close to the socket. Any decent sized heat sink is a pain to install.

Thats how my current and the last mobo before this one (AMD super socket 7?? k6-2 500mhz workhorse baby...) are/were. Kind of a dumb design. Makes it nice and easy to install a high-tension clip to the mobo...

I've decided what I'm getting, the Asus A7N8X. It's got AGP 8X, nForce2, and other goodies like firewire, which I need because I have a digi video cam, and my only other firewire machine is my laptop. Thanks for the feedback guys

I have an Abit AT7 MB for an Athlon. It is a legacy free board. No parallel, serial, or PS2 ports. It is all USB (1.1, 2.0) and FireWire. Very fast board. I am over clocking the $#1T out of all my chips and they have been running forever.

I had a horrible experience with Gigabyte and Soyo motherboards, and I have had the best experience with ASUS motherboards. I am an ASUS motherboard customer for life...

The only boards I buy is Abit and Asus. I tend to perfer Abit though. I still buy them both.
