Well, the wind has shifted and there is now no sun in Las Vegas. Outside lights are on because the sensors think it is getting dark even though it is only 2:30 in the afternoon.

If it looks this bad here, I cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like in So.Cal.. The visibility here sucks and it smells real bad and we are like 150-175 air miles from the nearest fire.

We should have some really cool looking sunsets as long as it sticks around.[hihi][thumb]
It looks like it is clearing up a bit in the west now. I have been out in our shop a lot today and I smell like I have been sitting next to a camp fire for a week. My wife said it is not so bad at home now (Henderson) but just left Summerlin and said it was like Red Rock was not even there.

Just think, if humans werent on this earth to stop this fire, it could probably take all of Southern California. Then again it seemes to be the humans that started the fire.

ODDferkOUT you stole my idea, I was just going to do that. Well anyway, move that dot to the right a 1/8th of an inch and you have my house.

Oh and they just reported that Lake Arrowhead will be gone very quickley. There goes winter vacation.

Running total:
1800 homes gone
18 deaths including 1 firefighter

Fires happen all too ofetn in nature. It's just a way of the earth "cleaning" itself, only this time the earth was "cleaned" without being asked if it was ok.
