I have two watches, a Timex IronMan (ladies model, I have really small wrists), and a Skagen Titanium. I also have a heart rate monitor, but I only wear it when training.

I have 7 pairs of shoes, 3 running, 1 cycling, 1 sandal, 1 casual brown oiled leather, 1 med brown wingtip dress.

I own two sport coats, but can't remember the last time I wore them, probably last winter (we have season tickets to the Philharmonic).

Rediculos, didnt you learn? Look everyone, here we have the average buy-out consumer, Good example. The stuff you own, ends up owning you! Self love is masturbation.
Or we could open up a GQ mag and pick out names of products that sound nice in a list.

what is the problem with brand names? first, if you do it right, bana republic stuff is as much as some big warehouse no name stuff. the one that buys a hilfiger polo shirt for 55 bucks or so is nuts. go to some outlet or sales stuff an pay 25. good deal isn´t it?

then for example my suits. all boss. why? cause they fit perfectly. at least with me. i had other stuff that sucked. and furthermore the oldest one i have is now 5 years old. take into consideration that i am 25. so since i stopped grwoing i keep my suits. maybe others will last as long, but with boss i am sure.

shoes, see above only that they get new soles now and then.

for watches i admit i am a brand fetishist [hihi] so am i for shirts.

bottom line is, i would be happy to GQ model [wink] [hihi]

my post is sort of a joke. jungle would get it.

i agree that some name brand clothing for example is better made and made to fit than others. but i dont like how people think they are the sh!t 'cause they have Ecko and DKNY and some guy's name printed on their underware.

its all metro sexual if you ask me! (for you south park fans out there)

Some really good points here........I'm trying to remember them all.......

Brand name clothes are just like cars, higher end brands last longer because of the quality. Most DKNY and such are not advertised on the outside, so no one would know if it is DKNY or Ralph Lauren, but I guarantee these clothes last longer. You also have to take care of these clothes through dry cleaning, cleaners or hand washing. After you start working in your chosen field and business clothes are required, it is always best to invest in basic high end brands so you can wear these over a period of years, not just one season. Also, clothing items with wool content wrinkle less and will last for years versus items made of a majority content of cotton. Its a good investment. Ever notice how your t-shirts and such never look the same past one season and they become a good Saturday only shirt. Cotton and using the dryer are the enemies!!!

I'm back to child abuse for Anna, Pavel.........there are seven days in a week, so therefore the minimum of bras required is seven. There must be at least fourteen pairs of underwear to get through a seven day period. TJ Maxx has really good prices on lingerie, all under $10.00 for a set that matches. I'm still shaking my head on the shoes.......

And yes Wadula, throw away the Tommy Hilfiger.......[rofl] [rofl]

High end watches will also last 20 or 30 years or more and do not go out of style........I have a Cartier and plan to wear it till the end of time, therefore my investment amounts to a few dollars a year over the length of time I plan to wear.

Jungle and Wadula understand the theory of saving money shopping........did you all get that....

This has been a fun thread..........we all have our quirks and passions..........and that my friends is what makes the world go round.

My theory is to accept people for who they are whether you agree or disagree. I have dated many guys who dress down because they always like to be comfortable and it has nothing to do with money. That's also okay with me, as long as the guy does not mind me being me in my dress and high heels.....together we may not look like we go together, but who cares, its what matters between us that does. It use to bother me because I know people are saying, "cant she teach him anything about dress," "did she see that before they left the house," but I got over it.......if they are comfortable with who they are......then that is all that matters......
