Don't mean to sound like a salesman, but this is some of thenardcore terrain that diamond peaks offers. Some of the most fun I have ever had was heliboarding. It is definately worth the $.

i am a hardcore for life die hard skier myself. problems with snowboarders? not personally of course, but in terms of behaviour on the piste itself sometimes. jungle, i don't know if skiers destroy a hlafpipe as i never saw a skier in a half pipe. if there is one, he should be doomed from this world any ways [rofl]

What i can't stand, allthough i understand, is the spots snowboarders quite often choose to rest. in the hill, right after a flat area started to go really steep again. that is the place were it is the easiest to get back on the board, but it is also the place were others gain speed and just can't see the group of three or four boarders sitting there. for the rest, i share with fun. yeah i've got no prob with boarders myself, like i said a lot of the time i go out with a bunch of boarders, its all cool by me.

resting in the hill in general pisses me off, regardless of the number of board attached to your feet. my friend blew his knew out try to avoid killing some of those f-ers because the all sat just below a crest, and he popped over and had to cut so deep that his knee blew out. so now whenever i see a group like that i dive bomb them. most of the time i get through without hitting anyone, but i've had to hope edges of skies and snowboards before. i usually get chased but at least it gets the people off the hill so they can't hurt anyone else.

Actually they have the freestyle ski competitions with skiiers in half pipes on tv all the time out here. As for the snowboarders that sit in the middle of the hill, they deserve to get plowed over for the single fact that iit is commong courteousy to go to the side of the hill if you do fall or if you find some logical reason to sit down. But I also don't believe that it is right that a resort can say no snowboards allowed. Where if somebody tried to open up a snowboard only hill (which some have tried) the skiers come in and yell about it being unjust, and how they shouldn't be secluded from the hill just because they ski. Snowboards shouldn't be on moguls, and skiers should be in terrain parks. So why can't everybody just drop their petty stereotypes, and stop ostersizing other people just because the have one board instead of two, and vice-versa. Some skiers believe that all snowboarders are asshole punks, and some snowboarders think that all skiers are yuppy, prissy, dicks. If you believe that, and you are going to make a scene of it, then get off the f@cking mtn. and let the other people enjoy themselves. IMO

And I completely aggree with you. The first year I started snowboarding I busted my ankle because some dick thought it would be cute to see his three year old kid snowplowing down the big hill. Let's see, plow over innocent child, or fall and flip half way down the hill¿

You guys ski some hard stuff! A friend of mine has a movie of me doing some sick tricks. About the snowboarders getting rid of the snow and skiers wrecking pipes, it depends on the rider. A good snowboarder will not harm the mountain, just like a good skier wont hurt the lip on a pipe any more than a snowboarder does. A lot of snowboarders call skiers pansies because 'you can't do as many things on skis'. A lot of skiers call all snowboarders punks, but both of those stereotypes are wrong. We are all riders of the snow, and we need to respect the mountain by not fighting about who uses it. Wadula, those are hot skis.

I am a die-hard snowboarder. I love to ski as well, but snowboarding is much more fun for me. I just bought a new Ride board last year and it was amazing. I can't wait until the snow season begins.

I'm gonna be in Vail from late December through New Year's Eve. In the small chance that anybody is gonna be there at that time, we should meet up and go for a day of skiing and chatting about BMW's. [:p]
As for the snowboarders vs skiiers discussion, I don't hold a grudge and I don't stereotype/judge people. Regardless of what you ride, you should always be respectful to the mountain and curteous to other riders, this way everybody has a good time and gets along.
