kinda to back towards the original topic...
i have had 3 moto's within the last 4 years with 3 different service providers. i now have the moto v551, and i am so sick of motorola. yes, the OS that all of their phones used has crashed many times, as often as windows 95. often times when i try and dial a number, it says "call failed". the charger falls out of the phone for no apparent reason, and when it is in the phone it will often say "unable to charge". after taking the battery out and putting it back in, it will charge fine. it lags....a lot. my buddy has a razr and loved it at first, but it has the call failed problem a lot now too. i have plenty of other crap to rap on moto with...
To be honest i have been short of impressed with motorola phones as of the past few years. They all feel cheap, even the razor. But they do have good battery life and all, they aren't bad phones. I would never buy one though, I'd rather get something a little better quality.

I've had my LG for such a long time it seems like forever (long story, got screwed by the contracts, turns out when you add a phone to your plane even your contract resets and starts on that day) and even though I've been taking the reliability and no lag for granted since I had it, I now look at my friend's phones and I realise how good LGs really are. The phone is completely defaced, I've dropped it immense number of times and except for screws starting to come out had not had any problems at all.

Honestly, I can't see myself getting a motorolla, generally their phones are so unbelievably slow I wouldn't be able to live with one. The only fast motorollas I have seen are the Nextel models, I wonder why they can't make every other moto that fast and reliable. Oh well, LG all the way, although I would never say no to a crackberry.
