brahtw8, I believe that the G35x (AWD) is only available in Auto transmission, but they are still not specific about it yet...Infiniti web site didn't tell me anything, lol.

thats sad i suppose you wont feal better knowing that while on the test drive i raced a nissan skyline down the central reservation! (sounds like bull but absoultly true) we can get absoultly every production car in the world [^] including the EVO VIII FQ330[:D]

I think the 993 series 911 is a better value, although I haven't driven one.

The Turbo is crazy fast. I didn't like the exhaust note that much with the turbo whoosh, and the driving position is a little upright for me coming from the NSX, but I wouldn't kick the Turbo out of bed. With the X50, it is a real beast, but $17k is a lot to pay for the extra power. The power seemed a little abrubt on the upshifts, but I am sure one would get used to it (indeed, grow to love it). I doubt that was anything more than my lack of familiarity with the car.

The power delivery is rather linear, like a locomotive, which is something that takes some getting used to from being a driver of NA cars. You don't get that extra shove you feel when a NA car comes 'on cam' and hits the powerband. Of course, you will already be pressed into the seat so hard, I doubt you will complain.

If I had money to burn, I would probably go for the GT3 over the 911, but I haven't driven the GT3. It has one hell of an exhaust note, as the salesperson fired it up and revved it for a while. If you want to drive it, you have to buy it.
