I visit there, or shall I say I used to. The more time I spend here the more I learn. There are as many bmw bulletin boards as there are opinions. I find this one, as you say the most helpful and civil.
This one is just a good overall forum. Good people and all the talking is pretty good no matter what the subject is. Plus I've been here since before I owned a bmw.
But I do find that I need to visit specific forums for my specific questions (like on a 5er or back when I had the e30) since a lot of the really technical people who had those cars kind of disappeared.
