yeah i'm awesome, i know. well i'm not lying when i say i can really shred on a pair of skis, and two days ago i was with a couple friends up at Bridger Bowl (my place) and i was showing one kid how to shoot out of this tree run to carry enough speed for the cat-track. I ski this south boundry run all the time, and know exactly which two trees i cut between to get good speed to get back to the main mountain area, so i say "watch me."

i make two money turns and the i point 'em, as i cut down hard to drop into the cat-track suddenly the ground is gone, the snow-cat cut away the spot i usually come in on, and so there i am, full speed, laid out for a carve and bam, no ground to ski on. i fly across half of the catwalk, and slide on my hip the other half, not losing much speed. i see something red. this is where things get blurry. i open my eyes and am buried in powder, one ski is on, the other is behind me, and 10 feet in front of me sitting in the the trees half of an "out of bounds" sign that they poundinto the ground, i broke it clean in half.

so i get back up to the trail and laugh with my friends, then i take a peak at my skis, and this is what they look like.

oooooops. [wiggle]

Your talking about the Alpental Skier are you Big Daddy. The other two are lucky they didn't loose their life too.

It isn't a very good year for skiing around here this year. I wish it was.

Hahahahhaa, dude that must have been hilarious. Sucks about your ski, though.

Btw, mad people die every year at every major ski mountain, you just never hear about it. These mountains are businesses, they're not really gonna post their "annual fatality rate".

Holy cow! I've flown past those "out of bounds" signs before. Pretty scary stuff.

However, I have to admit, if that happened to one of my friends and he wasn't seriously injured, I'd laugh my ass off.
