Hey Guys (and Girls),

I was just wondering, does anybody know any web sites/companies that sell window tint for the side-view mirrors? My car's rear-view mirror has the auto-dimming feature, but the side-view mirrors do not. When driving at night (when a lot of my drving takes place), I find the reflection of vehicles' (that are behind me) Xenon headlights, and even some bright-ass Halogen headlights, to be absolutely blinding. So I figure tinting the side-view mirrors will easily remedy this problem. Anybody got some information for me? Thanks !! [:D]

Yeah, I know. When I was choosing my car, I liked that the Audi A4 3.0 had auto-dimming rear-view and side-view mirrors, power-folding side-view mirrors, and memory seats. My G35C only has auto-dimming rear-view mirror, none of the rest of the features and it pissses me off, but it's worth it. I just want to remedy the lack of side-view dimming mirrors.

I do not think your going to find some premade tint for side mirrors. I know that Washington adn Idaho law forbid it. Check your states laws.
My car's side view mirrors came with some funky medium level blue tint. How does BMW get around that in Washington and Idaho?

actually i never really thought about that. tinting the mirrors? but yeah that's right. the traffic behind one always blinds.

isn't it possible to buy tinting foil at a store? some aftermarket guy, and then DIY? with that small surface it shouldn't be too hard to do.

i would just go and get some mirrors made at a glass shop (they can tint it to any colour and will know whats legal) they could also usespecial coatings to prevent glare etc. you can carefully remove your current on the detachable tray and just stick down the new stuff.
