President Bush in Seattle

It was interesting to watch the motorcade on the WSDOT cameras. The police/secret service/US coast guard did an excellent job with traffic and crowd control. When you figure the nature of traffic in this area, you gain a new respect for their effectiveness.

(Not intended to be a anti or pro Bush thread, simply commenting on the effectiveness of law enforcement in this case)

I remember seeing that same thing last year when President Bush visited CA. It was awesome to see how they position an officer at certain points of the route prior to the motorcade.

I counted at least 31 motor officers who would block an intersection then race ahead of the motorcade for their next assignment. It was sort of like a ballet.

Half the time they dont know what they are demonstrating for..they just like to hang with the other idiot demontrators downtown. Oh well, its America.
