I am looking for advice from experienced persons. I have tons of digital photos on my system, cars, grandkids, vacation spots, etc. I want a good photo editing program that allows me to resize, crop, print in various forms, etc. I have used Microsoft Picture It, I have Adobe Photo shop Album Starter 2.0 (came with my system) which can be upgraded, but I want to hear from those who have used them.

My system is a Sony Vaio running Windows XP, if makes any difference.

I like PhotoShop Elements. Some may laugh but I think it works well for my use, which is similar to yours.

I could not bring myself to spend $600.00 for photo software but I also would like to know, from someone experienced, what else is out there and some of the benefits of the full versions.

Big Daddy, I could send you a copy of Photoshop 7.0
I think it's one of the best photo editing software, IF you learn to use it fully.
I got a user's guide book for $20 from Sam's Club and it helps with the step by step instructions with illustration.

PM or email me your address if you're interested in my offer...

Big Daddy I have many many photo editing programs. I like them all.

Photoshop 7
Paint Shop Pro 7
Painter 6
MGI PhotoSuite 8.1
Adobe Premiere 6.0 (For video editing)

Just to name a few. These are most of the big one I have, however I have some smaller programs to that do the job. I haven't really learned all of them at this time (kids make it hard to do), but I dabble it in them.

Good, I will have someone close to tutor me! I am going to try the Photoshop 7.0 and see how I like that one.
If your interested, you should be able to find a class on using photoshop at a local community college as well.
