Overlap auto shows in January

I just noticed that the LA Auto show and the Detroit Auto show overlap. Is this correct?

LA Auto Show dates
December 29- January 11

Detroit Auto Show or North American International Auto Show
January 4-19

The LA auto show is the major one for California, twice as big as the International auto show we just had.
