Howdy everyone. I'm new to the forum and thought I would take a minute and say hello and test the waters a bit. I am on a few other forums with different interests and to be honest, some of the people on the other forums are just not what I expected.

So what's it like on here, the general chat lounge I mean. I know on some of the other forums when a new person comes on and asks a question that has been asked before, so many jump on his/her case about it and tell them to go search! I have no need for those types and hope this is different.

Anyway, I don't have my profile set up yet or any pics to share but I'm Frank, just purchased a 1993 850ci and looking forward to exchanging info with whoever wants to.

[welcome]

I'm on a few boards as well. This one is generally much more polite and considerate than some of the others. We don't modify our cars as much and only a few of us actively track our cars (yet remain very helpful) so I'd say this is the most newbie friendly board I've seen out of any subject board I've seen.

If you have any specific questions, they usually get answered pretty fast if you post in a particular forum. Like newbie questions get answered quickly in the newbie thread and you might help out another newbie who was wondering the same thing.

Wilkommen! I think you'll find a lot of help here, and probably a few people asking you questions about your car. Not too many 8 series owners around here. You could probably teach us a few things.[thumb]

Welcome [wave] . Post pics of your car when you get a chance, I love the 8-series, nice choice [thumb].

If you haven't already, www.bimmerfest.com is another great BMW board. It's a lot like this board, everyone is friendly and very helpful.
