well yesterday i had what we'll call and incident, and my phone flew from my hands and landed approximately 40 yards from me on pavement, it still works for the most part, but is badly damaged. It turns it self on and off about ever 30 minutes or so, and the end button works only half of the time now. kind of cool that the screen and everything else still works after such an event, but anyways i need something new.

I currently have a Sony Ericsson T616 and am super happy with it, so many features and no antenna, what do you all recommend? Posts with pictures or links get TWO thumbs up [thumb][thumb]

i called ATT and they said they dont' support the T630 (which i'm in love with), but i might hang onto my phone for another month, cause the lady said there are a bunch of new phones coming out in may, and i also sent in a few emails to sony ericsson regarding which sweet phones (t630 and soon to come t637) will be supported by which networks. sucks cause they are all gsm 850/1800/1900 but none of them are picked up by the local mobile service providers.

I read that another guy had an "event" with his phone. It rang while he was in court after being warned that this judge hates cell phones. The judge told the bailiff to confiscate the phone and toss it out the window - the courtroom was on the 5th floor!!!!

well i appreciate the effort, i shall try my luck else where, thanks.
if you liked it enough, just ebay it... Or, find an 'unlocked' version of the phone they said they dont have -- it'll work and they wont know the difference.

that what im wondering, is because there are firmware upgrades for these phones, and there is a company that does firmware upgrades for att, that is an independant company. it'd be way slick to have the only t630 or t637 on the att gsm network.

i found a site www.globalmob.com that might do it for me!!! just waiting for my reply, but looks like there are US customers who use T630's!!!!! only thing i tihnk the phone is some 300, but if i'm going to pay for a new T616 for $220 i might as well get a way kick ass phone that barely anyone has for 100 more
