Well, i finally got ahold of Windows XP(no more crappy linux). Everything went as planned. But then the setup didn't recognize my hard drive. The bios DOES see my HDD. It is a Windows compatible HDD and it is set as the primary master. Any suggestions?

Is it connected to the motherboard controller or is it connected to a PCI plug in controller card?

Assuming it's a relatively new system, do you have an 80 wire drive cable and have the blue connector plugged in to the controller, not the hard drive?

Did this system used to have Linux on it? If it did, you cannot just format the drive and install Windows. You need to remove the Linux loader (Grub or LILO) before you can load Windows.

I go it finally. It was the jumper pin(the one that determines master/slave). It was set to master when it should have been in a neutral position. But thanks anyways.
