How did they do that?

Its a whitehouse.GOV domain and the words never appear on the site. You think its someone from the inside of Google?

Push, the I'm feeling lucky button takes you to the site that is most clicked on by people using a normal search. IE if you type in online auction and do a search, the majority of people click ebay.com so google will make ebay.com the "I'm feeling lucky" for anything containing online+auction

Dude,..

I am not stupid. [mad]

It takes you to the first search result (ranked the highest by Google's system). They update it about every four weeks and base it on more than 100 factors. It doesn't have to be "most clicked" since search engine listing is not ordered by the number of hits the page received. However, top sites usually get top hits.

Google works by rating sites according to how many other sites link to the site in question. For instance, my site www.knollcrest.com is just a place holder and has only one link, and that's to my webmail. But if you do a Google search on Knollcrest, my site comes up number 5, even though it's essentially a blank site. One reason is because I use a picture hosted on my webserver as a sig on this forum. That pic is now a link from this site back to mine, even though it's not an active hyperlink. Do that enough times, and your site will rise in Google's rating. And the more links from prominent sites to yours, the higher you go also. [thumb]

Google will also act as a dictionary; type "define Someword" without the quotes and you'll get a basic definition and links to several alternate definitions. Google also does math. Type 2*4+(3/4)= and you'll get a result. [thumb]
