ok so this guy is getting convicted for setting a speed camera on fire. the police caught him just before he set the petrol soaked tire around the camera. he went to court and they said that they thought that the case was "so serious that the maximum ammount of jail time (of 6 months) is too little so they sent it to crown court. he now faces somthing like 3years. to put it into perspective if i walked into town right now and stabbed someone in the arm i'd get 3years as well!!!!

Well, if you consider the camera a substitute for a police officer, then technically he set a police office on fire (or attempted to). I think they are afraid that it might become a trend.
