What's with all the celebrities lately getting arrested? Maybe there is some jealousy going on that the celebs have a better life going for them so the cops look for any means to ruin it for them. [screwy]

Well, in this case, it'd be her own damn fault. This could happen to anyone. It's just in the news cuz she's famous. I saw quite a bit of these cases when I was working as a DA.

I agree with Codex. No one is obligated to speak to the police, but if you open your mouth you can't be making up sh%@. The police have a hard enough time doing their jobs and tracking down murders without people waxing the truth and taking the law into their own hands.

I'd say it's a mixture of (1) prosecutors wanting to send a message (they get a bigger bull horn to blow as a deterrent by prosecuting celebs) and (2) probably the fact that many celebs seem to think they somehow exist above the law (wacko jacko types who surround themselves with their own little world).

I say let them hang with the rest of us. If you mess up, fess up and pay the piper.....If this was me, you or any normal person....there wouldn't be any hype, just,"here is your tooth brush, sheets, orange jump suit and soap......oh and by the way, you may not want to drop that last item." I know they (celeb's) get set up alot, but if it is not a set up, then do your time and quit bitchin about it. Did any of you see the "prison" Martha Stewart was in????? Prison my ass....that was a freaking Country club.
