Wow. Those are...

Yep.

I was eating at O'Charlies with my dad last month and we saw some ghetto prommers. One guy had a pink tux trimmed in black, and a black cane. The best part, however, was the black baseball cap with pink fuzz on the brim.

btw, what´s wrong with bali? i didn´t hear about any problems in the last 2 years?
THere was the giant bombing some years ago, I believe the tsunami affected it, and just recently, an Australian surfer got sentenced to 20 years for possessing some marijuana.

It's especially bad cuz the leader of the bombing (which killed a ton of people, including tons of Australians) got 30 months, then was released immediately for time served.

The surfer wasn't caught with the mj. It was found in her unlocked surfboard bag. There's a known drug smuggling ring that goes from Aus to Indonesia. They refused to investigate the baggage handlers or something like that. Every defense witness was dismissed, then the court said, "haha, can't prove anything" and gave her 20 years.

With all that, I think 90% of Australians are ready to sink Indonesia, but the gov't is saying, "No, calm down, they're our friends." Bali's a beautiful place an all, but Indonesia can be really fooked up. Because I'm a certain ethnicity, if I walk down the road in most of Indonesia, I'll literally be surrounded and then killed in some horrible way just cuz my skin's too light. I had an Indonesian roommate in college, but like hell he can convince me to go there on a visit with him. Bali, being totally tourist, was a small possibility, but after seeing the joke of an Indonesian court system, I wrote off all of Indonesia.

You're essentially correct and I'm surprised that you know so much about it to tell you the truth!

88 Aussies died as a result of the Bali Bombing out of a total of 202 deaths and the bomber only got a very light sentence. The Tsunami was quite separate but Australia donated an absolute SH*TLOAD of private money to help with the reconstruction effort and the government presented another 5 billion in aid too.

There's no doubt that the case against the girl with the pot (Schapelle Corby) is reliant on paper-thin evidence and a dubious judicial system in Indonesia. She might well have been guilty but for her to get 20 years and the Bali Bomber only 3 years is a joke. I will say that the media circus surrounding Corby's case is a disgrace to our country and I think that a lot of Indonesians would be rightly pissed off with the judgements being cast about their country. At least they won't have to contend with me because I'm never going there...

But hey, that's international relations for you!
