I filled in everything with bogus info, and you get to a screen that says "Just choose from any one of these products/offers to get your free flat screen!". So I picked the free aol trial... it opens the aol page... but will not compete the free flat screen transaction... nor do any of the special offer sites mention anything about a free flat screen. Looks and smells like a scam to me. The website is owned by http://www.gratisnetwork.com/, a marketing company. I doubt they make enough $$ on the ads to pay for all those free flatscreens. What a sham. I've driving to DC (where they are located) and toss smoke bomb into thier building.

If you got the original contact from them by EMail, all you did was confirm that they found a valid EMail address. What they will give you for free is MORE SPAM.

Remember what PT Barnum said?

Aight, now i got proof it works [thumb]

So im a beleiver, if you do what is required, which is 8 referrals, your good to go....
Is this proof from someone else who got a freebie & posted these pictures (in which case it is no proof at all) , or is this YOUR reward?

I Googled FreeFlatScreenTV.com and there are a bunch of discussions about how it works. It seems as if you follow the rules you might really get a free TV. There are a few "catches" (such as you have to sign up for AOL or other pay services and give them your credit card - ever try to cancel an AOL account?), but there ARE people who are getting stuff "free". They are limiting the number of awards.

It's a classic pyramid refferal scheme, so a few people will succeed (including the marketers), most will fail. Just the fact that AOL participates should be warning enough!
