so last week sometime, my internet and the comp died, and i missed a few days at the board. (i'm using my parents' comp now..) when i came back, something was a lil different.. then i realized there were a bunch of new mods running around. so i wanted to say, congratulations! both to the new mods, and for the board in general, as it seems to be growing by the day.

so far i saw kirby, scott, and richard. did i miss anyone else's butt to kiss? [;)]

Thanks Jason! Hope you get your computer fix. One of my computer video cards died and I need to get it going. It is my main PC and I don't want to have it down for too long.

Jason, thanks for the congrats. I noticed you hadn't been around for a few days. Is it a virus/spyware issue or just general failure?

kirby, my round ide cable has a ground wire hangning out, (i don't know why..) anyway i added my old cd-rw back (long story there too) to the box, and during the next few days the ground wire worked its way into the cpu fan..

first the computer just shut down, so i was like wth? restarted, walked out of the room, came back to smell something burning.. (i'm thinking dust on the heatsink rather than the proc. so i took a look only to see the cpu fan stuck in place due to the ground wire jamming it.. the cable guy just came out to cut my cable modem earlier in the day.. (a week late, but whatever) so i was a bit peeved, then the computer decides to take a dump.. not to much fun ^^;; felt like i got kicked in the you know what after getting knocked down..

so now i have to figure out the damamge. it worked again w/out a problem one day, and i ran cpu tests w/out any issues for almost a day. after the shut down, it refuses to turn back on again... much fun really.. oh well. so no virri, just little stupidity, zero luck...

Scott ygpm, and i also have some vid card issues too.. i should just put a new box together.. *sigh*
