Computer in car

What do you think? Looks pretty interesting right?
My last roommate was pretty much done with his design two years back.
I have an idea to get a working production base model going.
-Mp3 player controlled by computer, integrated into existing sound system.
-Temperature readings
-Heading
-GPS
-Economy readings
-Engine management
-Plus, everything a computer offers like games and internet

Fully custom, professionally done. There are systems out there that do this, but you have to break your wallet. I already have a prototype, mine would cost much less. I just wonder if anyone here is interested.

nah, i think its ridiculous to have a pc in the car. just get a vhs/dvd player and a nice looking screen and voila!

its ridiculos to have gps, and engine managemnts controls at the touch of a touch-screen button?

i dont see why youd need a GPS system inside the car...maybe if you were hiking. plus, an engine management system shouldnt have to be messed with DAILY. maybe when you first get it and need to tune it. thats just me though...

My design was to have nothing viewable to the driver, only the rear passengers could have fun. Man, now I miss that van .
