Hey,

So the semester is winding down for those of us who are in school. I am sure that every college in the US is full of students just doing MAD homework right now (and I'm seriously not exaggarating or anything). I am behind like crazy in a lot of my classes. I just made a "To Do" list and here is how it looks:

TO DO
--------------------------------------------------------
Marketing Class Final Project - Due May 2nd
Economics Makeup Homework Assignemnts - Due last class
Business Law Two Papers - Due last class/exam
Business Law Pad - Due May 3rd
Business Forum Thought Question Assignments & Workbook Assignments - Due last class
Business Forum Small Presentation - Due May 4th
Business Forum Big Presentation - Due ???
Business Forum Mentor Paper - Due ???
Political Geography Presentation - Due THURSDAY
Political Geography Articles - Due THURSDAY

This list is just a summary; for example, the "Business Forum Thought Question Assingments..." is actually a series of assignments I have to complete, and the list does not even include final exams. [:(]

I don't think I have it worse than any of you other students out there, just shedding some light on my situation as I feel like the entire world is sitting on my back right now. [:(]
I've been slacking off ridiculously hard this semester...I always slack off, but it's never been this bad and I'm gonna pay dearly for it over the course of these next few weeks.

So there ya have it...I'm completely and utterly owned right now...a ton of work to do and a few weeks to complete it all. I have a full summer session ahead of me and one more year of college and then I'm done. After it's all over, SOME MOTHER ****** OWES ME FOUR YEARS OF LIFE.

kthx, I'm done venting.

Anyone else wanna share their misery?

Thanks,
MrElussive

I should be busy working away, but instead I'm responding to how busy I am. Besides completing my 2nd year portfolio for selective admissions by Friday, I also have several other projects due within the next few weeks. The one good thing about being a design major is lack of many finals. I only have one real final, and that's a modern landscape architecture history final. History is easy for me, so it won't be too bad.

And here's a picture of one of the projects I'm working on right now. It's an urban plaza that takes precedent from the Zen Buddhist Garden at Ryoanji:

(For scale, those buildings are 35 feet tall)

I'm not in college anymore, but I remember when I was, the last couple weeks of the spring semesters were always the worst. Around that time, homework and papers were piling up, finals were looming, and meanwhile the weather was turning nicer and everyone was on their last legs as far as work ethic was concerned.

Talk about misery...the last semester of my senior year I had five classes! I didn't care about my grades anymore, and just wanted to concentrate on finding a job. But at the same time, I knew I had to party it up because it would be the last time I ever got to go really crazy. Those were some of the best and worst weeks of my life.

Well, on Monday, I just started my 3rd year of medical school. That means that I am now doing clinical rotations at the hospital and in community clinics. I now have a beeper and am the property of my superiors (which is everyone). I am now now caring for patients and am responsible for their care. It's scary!

Just as summer is approaching, I now have to come to grips with the fact that I will never have another free summer until I retire!!! That's a sobering thought.

That's great Justin! It is a big step, but I am sure you are ready. You're well on your way of becoming a doctor. Good luck and get sleep whenever you can. You will need it.... [thumb]

I know this one doctor (OBGYN) who married for the second time after missing his whole first marriage and kids because of work, had three more kids with the second wife, and was so rich from the first years that he could retire and enjoy the second round like no other!!!!! Only thing is he is 60 and has a 13 year old......not that there's anything wrong with that.
