25 REASONS
WHY ALCOHOL SHOULD BE SERVED AT WORK...

1. It's an incentive to show up.

3. It leads to more honest communications.
4. It reduces complaints about low pay.
5. It cuts down on time off because you can work with a hangover.

I seriously couldn't agree more with these statements... Our office fridge, as well as my mini-fridge are always stocked with a few brews... Not that we drink every day or anything. But we do when we want... and you know what??? Those usually turn into late night jam sessions. Power meetings last longer and more ideas come up, and people DON'T want to go home! Everyone stays and is excited to work because it's FUN and relaxing while working towards a larger goal of making more money. Makes those extra hours more tolerable for sure. And is a nice perk... only once in a blue moon does it ever get out of hand too. Most of the time it's the most productive motivator in the office. Work 9-5... crack a beer.. and work some more. So I'd say YES, to everything in that post.[thumb]

Same here. Working for a relatively small privately owned business has its perks! Late afternoon beer breaks happen once or twice a month, after everyone is done working on customer projects. At the end of the year we have an office holiday party that is catered by Hooters, girls included! [:D]
