The mechanics at work get this type of thing more often than you would think. All kinds of live animal, rodents and so on get in the engine compartments. We charge a labor premium for dealing with these situations, but who wants to clean up these messes. [xx(]

I'm guessing this is what happened:
Probably somewhere where there is desert, such as Nevada or Arizona....hot during the day, cold during the night. Snake was cold at night, the owner just parked the car for the night, the engine was nice and warm and the snake was attracted to it. Crawled up into the engine from underneath the car and chilled there for the night...next morning, owner drives the car and cooks the snake. Am I right, or am I right?

A friend's brother once had a cat died under the hood of his car. And he didn't even realise it until after the cat was over-cooked!!! Then he remembered he smelled something strange!

When I lived in Bermuda, I had a Fiat Uno. And this mouse would come chew on my radiator hose, again and again! I couldn't get a hold of it. Finally after replacing it 2 times I sprayed lots and lots of pesticide on my whole engine, the damn bastard never came back!!!

And Yes, MrElussive, I think you are probably right. That was my guess too. Once you start the engine, the snake would be caught in the belts and pulleys and is trapped, within minutes, it's toasted.
