Buried MIG found in Iraq

This is apparently old news from August, but it is still interesting. Proves the point that if Saddam buried MIG-25 Foxbat fighters, there still *could* be buried WMD.

I'm not sure I would want to pilot a fighter that had been buried in the sand UNPROTECTED!

Is this really true? I think if you buried a jet, it would destroy it. I'm not saying Saddam didn't have WMD, but I think it's more likely that the for the past few years, his own people were lying to him about what they had. Remember his defense minister? "I assure you there are no US troops in Bagdad. Right now, we are crushing them."
