This one rounded out the season. Got to see all three this year - Thunderbirds, Canadian Snowbirds and Blue Angels. Pretty cool. I didn't take many of the planes/jets in flight because I realized at the past shows, those pics never come out too terribly well, and I don't feel like I get the full effect when I've got a camera on my face. Of course, there were a couple moments I just had to capture, such as the herritage flight (I always love that one) and the airplane to helicopter transfer.

Other stuff that I didn't get good enough pictures of to upload were a bunch of WWII planes (B-25, a couple Thunderbolts, the P-51, and one more that I don't remember what was), an F-104 (that was pretty awesome), a Mig-17, a jet truck (driven by the son of the jet truck I have pictures of from before), and a biplane called Bulldog (he was at all 3 of the shows I went to, so I didn't feel to need to take even more pictures of him).

Anywhat, now that I'm sure I've teased you enough, here's the link to the pics:

From there you can also get to the galleries for the other two shows that I've posted here before.

10D. Not quite as hardcore as the 20D, but still takes excellent pictures.
absolutely nothing wrong with a 10D. I was thinking that a point and shoot couldn't have that kind of depth of field.

More important than the camera, what LENS did you use?

I'm saving for a 70-200 f/4L and then a 1.4x teleconverter [clap]

There is an F-104 here at the local air museum, they are finishing up some restoration work. Me and some of my fellow buddies/pilots/aircraft mechanics are volunteering our time one weekend next month to help work on it....we've been looking forward to this for a long time. It is a very nice aircraft indeed.

The lens I use is a Tamron 28 - 200 mm. I have a couple Canon lenses, a 38 - something that came with my 35mm Rebel and a 70-300mm. I pretty much only use the Tamron because carrying around an extra lens just for an extra 100mm is kind of a hassle.

Jared, that is pretty awesome. You don't hear alot about the F104, and there are so few around. This is the first time I've seen one fly, probably the first time I've seen one, period.
